About Dr. Streiber
A graduate of the highly acclaimed Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine, Andrew M. Streiber, DVM enjoys balancing the daily demands of being both a veterinarian and hospital owner.
In 2011, Dr. Streiber left an Associate position at an animal hospital in Manhattan Beach to oversee the construction of what would become the El Segundo Animal Hospital. The ESAH, his veterinary school dream, officially opened its doors to the public on Tuesday, June 5, 2012.
Dr. Streiber trained at the Animal Surgical and Emergency Center in West Los Angeles, completing a rotating internship in emergency medicine, surgery, radiology, internal medicine and cardiology. Before earning his degree from the University of California at Berkeley, he attended the University of Colorado at Boulder and the Harvard School (now Harvard-Westlake).
A native of Los Angeles, the 4th generation of his family to be born in California, Dr. Streiber spent eight years in the music business before discovering his true calling, and dedicating himself to his passion for animals.
An avid snow skier and baseball fan, Dr. Streiber loves to travel and has 7 pets — dogs Ben and Pearl; cats Tripod, Casey, Sandy, Scar and Simon — that help keep him grounded when he’s not working.
